With schools across the country meeting back in person, we’re seeing the return of fall sporting events, and we’re here for it.

We love seeing young athletes, especially on the high school and collegiate levels, playing with grit, heart, and enthusiasm that is sometimes missing from their professional counterparts.

When many people think of fall sports, they think of football. Sure there are NCAA games and the NFL to watch on television, but there’s nothing like getting outside and watching young athletes at work – whether it’s pee wee football or high school football.

Besides football, there are other great outdoor sports to watch this time of year. For example, you may be able to catch a cross-country race at a local high school or college. And depending on where you are in the country, field hockey (hockey played on land instead of on ice) is another great fall sport to watch.

Here in the Pacific Northwest, you can spend the fall watching regattas down by the water, or if you prefer to stay further inland, take in a soccer game or two! Both men’s and women’s soccer are played in the fall, so there are tons of opportunities to take in this international sport!

And don’t worry, whether you’re in the stands sipping hot cocoa or in the parking lot, tailgating we’ve got you covered with porta-potty rentals for all kinds of sporting events.

If you are planning an outdoor sporting event and need to rent porta-potties, there are several factors to consider:

Venue

Does the field already have its own functioning restrooms, and will they be accessible during the game? For example, events played at high schools and colleges usually have nearby bathrooms for spectators and players, but if your event is held at a municipal park or recreation center, restrooms may be more limited. Be sure to talk with the logistics manager and ensure that there will be sufficient operational restrooms available for everyone.

Weather and Placement

During the brisk fall months, portable restrooms should be placed in areas where they will be shielded from strong winds. You will also want to consider placing portable toilets in an area where spectators can easily access them, like parking lots, near concessions, etc. Keep in mind that with shorter days, porta-potties will be cooler in the evening. Try having them placed in a location that gets sun during the day, so they are slightly warmer when the sun goes down.

Number of Participants and Spectators

No one wants to spend the majority of their time at an event waiting in the bathroom line. So consider the number of porta potty rentals you will need to accommodate players from both teams, spectators, coaches, and any special needs guests. A good rule of thumb is one portable restroom per 50 people per 3-hour event, but we also have this handy dandy chart that you can check out if you need to scale up the number of guests.

With the venue booked, portable restrooms secured, and concessions ordered, you’re on your way to a great outdoor fall sporting event.
