Now in its 39th year, the Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival is a perennial PNW favorite. Every year, it celebrates the arrival of spring with a magnificent display of tulip fields. The festival includes more than just the tulip display. There are weekly special events, hot air balloon rides, and flowers for sale. Don’t miss this one-of-a-kind PNW event!

It’s cherry blossom season! Some of the best places to view these famed blossoms are the Japanese historical plaza downtown, Cathedral Park, and the Japanese Gardens at Washington Park. Peak bloom season is late March to early April, so be sure to time your visit accordingly!

Pizza Week

Every April, Portland Mercury hosts Pizza Week. This year the event will be held April 15-21, and over 30 participating shops will offer $3 pizza slices and $24 pies. Foodies rejoice! Spend a Saturday morning at the Portland Saturday Market. This long-running market (celebrating its 50th Anniversary This Year!) is a haven for local products and arts. Oregon Cheese Festival
