Farm & Vineyard Porta Potty Rental in the Willamette Valley
American SaniCan provides portable restrooms and hand-wash stations to farms, vineyards and nurseries across the Willamette Valley — with no contracts, service that scales up and down with your season, and servicing available for sanitation equipment you already own. We’ve been doing it since 1996, from berry fields outside Woodburn to vineyard crush pads in the Dundee Hills.
No contracts. Your season sets the schedule.
We don’t sign agricultural customers to contracts. Most of our farm customers have units on-site all season — many year-round — and the count flexes as your labor does: more units when picking crews arrive, fewer when the season winds down. You’re not locked into a January unit count in August, and you’re not negotiating change orders mid-harvest. When the crews show up, we show up; that’s the whole arrangement.
Delivery runs 1–3 days out in peak season, same-day on orders placed by 10 a.m. when availability allows, and our routes run seven days a week — because harvest doesn’t take weekends off.
Already own your units? We'll service them.
Plenty of Willamette Valley farms own their own portable restrooms. We pump, clean and restock customer-owned units on the same weekly routes as our rental fleet — the same five-step service every visit: pump the tank, replenish toilet paper and sanitizer, wipe down and sanitize, inspect, sign off. If your own equipment just needs a reliable service schedule instead of a rental agreement, that’s a service we provide and most companies don’t.
Crews, crops, and what we actually see out there
Our farm routes cover berries, grapes, nursery stock, and — come fall — pumpkin patches, which are their own animal: the sanitation need shifts from field crews to hundreds of visiting families, and unit counts, hand-wash stations, and placement all change with it. If your operation opens to the public for the season, plan for your visitors the way you’d plan for an event, not a work crew.
For picking and pruning crews, the working math most operators already know: field sanitation standards call for a toilet and hand-washing facility for every 20 workers, within a quarter mile of where the crew is working (OSHA’s field sanitation standard, 29 CFR 1928.110; construction work in Oregon falls under ORS 654.150). We’re not going to lecture you on the rules — in our experience, Willamette Valley growers know the sanitation laws cold, and more than once a customer has known about a rule change before we did. What we bring is the capacity to meet those numbers on short notice, and the paperwork trail when you need one.
Hand-wash stations and audit season
If you grow food crops, your buyers’ auditors care about worker hand-washing — GAP and similar food-safety audit schemes want to see sanitation provisioned and documented, not just present. We supply free-standing hand-wash stations alongside restroom units, and every service visit is inspected and signed off, which gives you a service record you can put in front of an auditor. It’s a small thing until the audit, and then it’s the thing.
Vineyards and wine country
We service vineyards through Newberg, Dundee, and the wider Willamette Valley — crush-pad and field units during harvest, and event sanitation when the property turns to hosting: harvest dinners, crush parties, weddings among the vines.
For customer-facing events, our climate-controlled luxury restroom trailers are a different class from a field unit — flushing toilets, running-water sinks, heat and A/C. (One planning note vineyard event coordinators should know early: trailers need a customer-supplied 30-amp/120V circuit.)
A full wine-country events guide is coming in September; for harvest logistics, call us now — vineyard units book around the same weeks for everyone.
Frequently asked questions
Do you require contracts for farm porta potty rental?
No. Agricultural rentals run on our standard 28-day cycle with no long-term contract; most farms keep units all season and adjust the count as labor comes and goes.
How fast can you deliver units when a harvest crew arrives?
Typically 1–3 days in peak season, and same-day on orders placed by 10 a.m. when availability allows. If you know your crew’s arrival week, a call ahead guarantees the count.
Do you service porta potties that we own?
Yes. We pump, clean and restock customer-owned units on regular routes — weekly or on the schedule your operation needs.
How many toilets do I need for a picking crew?
The field sanitation standard is one toilet and hand-washing facility per 20 workers, located within a quarter mile of the work. For a 60-person picking crew, that’s three units plus hand-wash capacity — we can size it precisely for your layout in one call.
What are the field sanitation requirements for farm workers?
OSHA’s field sanitation standard (29 CFR 1928.110) requires one toilet and one hand-washing facility per 20 employees, located within a quarter-mile walk of each worker. We size and place units to those numbers as a matter of course.
Do you serve pumpkin patches and agritourism farms?
Yes — and visitor-facing seasons need different planning than field crews: more units, hand-wash stations for families, and placement near parking and attractions. Book before your opening weekend; fall demand is real.
What areas do you cover for farm service?
The Willamette Valley agricultural corridor: Molalla, Hillsboro, Wilsonville, Newberg, Dundee, Woodburn, Silverton and surrounding areas — plus the rest of our Portland-metro and SW Washington service area.
