Porta Potty Rental in Hillsboro, Oregon
American SaniCan rents porta potties, ADA units, restroom trailers, handwash stations and holding tanks across Hillsboro and Washington County, with weekly service included on every long-term rental. We have run routes into the Tualatin Valley from our Portland yard since 1996, and Hillsboro sits inside our standard delivery territory, not on the edge of it.
That matters more than it sounds. Hillsboro work is rarely one unit in one place. A Silicon Forest jobsite runs multiple shifts and moves its work front every few weeks. A Washington County event brings a crowd that arrives in two hours. A nursery needs units that follow the crews down the rows. Each needs a different answer, and the page below is how we get to it.
Where we deliver around Hillsboro
Hillsboro is standard territory, and so is the rest of our Washington County coverage: Beaverton, Tigard, Tualatin and Sherwood. From Hillsboro our routes run southwest into the Newberg and Dundee wine country, east into Portland, and north across the river into Clark County. Same-day delivery is available on orders placed by 10 a.m., subject to what is on the truck.
Why would I need a porta potty?

Commercial construction.
Hillsboro’s tech corridor runs on long builds with large crews, and the restroom count is set by regulation rather than preference. OSHA 1926.51 and Oregon’s ORS 654.150 both set minimum toilet-to-worker ratios that scale with crew size and shift pattern. We will work the count with you, and we will say so if you are ordering more than the job needs. For vertical work, our high-rise units are wheeled and sized to fit an industrial construction elevator, so the restroom moves up with the floor rather than sending crews down.

Events
The Washington County Fair, the Oregon International Air Show out at the airport, summer concerts at Orenco Station and the weekend farmers’ market are all crowd events with the same underlying problem: facilities built for a normal day and a headcount that is anything but. Most events end up with a mix rather than a single unit type, usually some standard units, a deluxe or two, at least one ADA unit and a handwash station.

Parks and outdoor venues.
Rood Bridge Park, Jackson Bottom Wetlands Preserve and the soccer fields & golf courses around the city all host gatherings in places with no plumbing nearby and ground that will not take a truck in every season. Placement is part of the quote, not an afterthought.

Agriculture
The farms and nurseries around Hillsboro and out through the Tualatin Valley need field sanitation that moves with the work, scaled up for harvest and down again afterwards. We run those seasonally with no contract, and we will service units you already own rather than renting you ours.

Weddings and private events.
Our climate-controlled luxury restroom trailers have flushing toilets, running water and finished interiors. They need one customer-supplied 30-amp, 120V circuit within reach of where they sit, and no generator is included, so that is worth confirming with the venue before you book.

Emergency & Disaster Relief
When nature calls (and not in the good way), we respond quickly with sanitation solutions for emergency situations.
Do I need a permit?
Usually not for a unit placed on private property. A placement in the public right of way, on a sidewalk or in a street closure generally does need approval from the City of Hillsboro, and requirements differ for a county road. Check with the city before you book if your placement is anywhere other than private ground, and tell us what they say so we can plan the drop around it.

What kind of porta potty should I get?
Standard
Standard units are the workhorse: non-flushing toilet, urinal, toilet paper and hand sanitiser. Construction sites, work crews, general use.
Deluxe
Deluxe units add a flushing toilet, a fresh water sink and interior lighting, for events where appearance matters.
ADA portable restrooms
ADA portable restrooms have ground-level entry, a wider door, interior grab bars and floor space for a wheelchair to turn. Worth settling early: our ADA units are a separate product from our luxury restroom trailers. The trailers are climate-controlled, not accessible, and the two are not interchangeable. If your site or event has an accessibility requirement, it is met with dedicated ADA units, placed on firm level ground with a clear path rather than tucked out of sight.
High-rise units
High-rise units are wheeled and sized for a construction elevator.
Handwash stations
Handwash stations have foot-pump sinks, fresh water, soap and towels, for food service, agriculture and anywhere handwashing is required.
Luxury restroom trailers
Luxury restroom trailers are multi-stall, climate-controlled, with running water and a 300-gallon fresh water tank.
Holding tanks and towable units cover sites with no sewer connection and work fronts that move.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much does a porta potty rental cost?
Five things set the number: which unit you need, how long you need it, how many, how far we are delivering and how often it needs servicing. A standard unit on a 28-day construction cycle and a luxury trailer for a Saturday wedding sit at opposite ends of the range.
Two things are worth knowing when you compare quotes. Long-term rentals bill on a 28-day cycle with weekly servicing included, which is four service visits, not a calendar month. And construction deliveries carry a flat fee anywhere in our service area, while event deliveries are priced by distance. Ask any provider directly how many service visits their quote includes, because that is the most common reason two numbers differ.
Call with the details and we will quote it.
How long can I keep the porta potty?
As long as the job runs. Long-term rentals continue on 28-day cycles until you tell us to collect. Single-day and weekend events are priced as events, covering delivery, placement, collection and any servicing needed during the event itself.
What is the delivery process like?
Tell us what it is for, where it is going, how long you need it and roughly how many people. We will confirm the count, check that a truck can reach the placement point, and schedule the drop. Standard construction drops typically go out in one to three days during peak season, which in Oregon runs April through October, and one to two days off-peak. Large events need more runway: four to eight weeks, and two to three months for a luxury trailer on a summer Saturday. Certificates of insurance are issued within a business day.
Every weekly service visit does the same four things: pump the tank, replenish toilet paper and sanitiser, wipe down and sanitise the unit, then inspect and sign off.
