Pickathon

Pickathon is a three-day music festival at Pendarvis farm just outside of Portland. PDX Pop Now! It is a free all-ages music festival. The festival is run 100% by volunteers and is designed to celebrate, promote, and enhance” Portland’s vital and diverse music community.” The festival was first held in 2004 and has occurred every year since, including during the pandemic when it was held virtually.
Portland Chinese Festival

The Portland Chinese festival hosted by the Oregon Chinese Coalition celebrates Chinese culture in Pioneer Courthouse Square. The festival features live music, dance, food, and traditional Chinese arts and crafts.
Portland Hip Hop Week

Not quite a festival but a celebration of Hip Hop culture, Portland Hip Hop Week began with Portland Hip Hop Day. In 2015 the day was established to address community concerts between the city’s Hip Hop scene and municipal agencies. In 2018, Hip Hop Day was extended to a week-long celebration to unify, amplify, educate, and elevate Hip Hop culture.
William Byrd Festival

The William Byrd Festival is an annual music festival dedicated to the works of the English composer William Byrd (c. 1540-1623). William Byrd was a prominent composer of the Renaissance period, known for his contributions to choral music, particularly sacred music.
The Portland William Byrd Festival takes place at the First Unitarian Church. The festival celebrates Renaissance music and showcases some of the best choral singers in the Pacific Northwest. During the festival, you can expect to see various choral performances, workshops, lectures, and related events focused on exploring and celebrating the legacy of William Byrd and the music of his time.
